Silicone Foamsglue

ASE EUROPE also wants to be your partner in supplying all the range of silicones. Mostly we can supply all the different existing silicones, for different applications.

Standard glazing silicones

Silicone sealants are based on silicone polymers and cure to form a tough flexible rubber suitable for both household and industrial applications. The three main types of silicone sealant are; acetoxy cure which are acetic acid curing recognised by their vinegar like smell, alcoxy cure and oxime cure both of which are neutral curing. Acetoxy cure are most commonly used for internal applications whereas the neutral curing silicones are used externally due to their superior adhesion and weatherproofing properties. In addition neutral curing silicones are used on surfaces sensitive to acetic acid.

Acrylic silicones

Acrylic silicones are silicones based on acrylic polymers. They are also known as decorators caulk, painters caulk or decorators acrylic. Acrylic silicones are mostly used as elastic filling of cracks in plaster, to connect joints (especially for porous surfaces), and as sealing of gaps around windows and frames. The products is mostly used indoors, but can also be used outdoors. The material is solvent free and odourless. It is very easy to apply, very adhesive, colourfast, waterproof and can be painted after curing.

Silicone U

Silicone U is a high quality, elastic acetoxy silicone sealant with anti mould action. It is very easy to apply, colourfast, and UV-resistant. The material has very adhesive characteristics on multiple surfaces, and stays elastic after curing It can be used for building and construction joints, glazing on aluminium frames, sanitary installations, window and door joints, sealing in air conditioning systems, and many more.

Neutral cure universal high quality silicones

Neutral silicones release alcohol or another non-acidic substance whilst curing. The sealant has almost no odour. Neutral silicones are very useful for outdoor applications, since they are very adhesive, non-corrosive to metals and glass, suitable to use on alkaline surfaces such as concrete, cement, brick, and plaster. They have high weatherproof properties, compared to, acetoxy silicones, for example. Due to its flexible characteristics it is an ideal material for expansion joints. Neutral silicones are used for outdoor and indoor applications such as top sealing at glazing jobs, building joints, sealing of polycarbonate, joints with high movement between different building materials, seals around kitchen fittings, baths, showers, toilets and gutters.

Polyurethane (PU) foams

Polyurethane is a polymer (or plastic), and can be solid or have an open cellular structure, in which case it is called a foam. Foams can be rigid or flexible. Polyurethane foam is most known in its flexible state, it is present in mattresses, upholstered furniture and car seats. What it is less known for is the presence, in everyday stuff, in small but essential items such as sponges in the kitchen, medical dressings to large filters and soundproofing systems that keep our environment clean and quiet.

But the most important application of Pu foam is in its rigid state. It is an ideal material for the insulation of buidlings. It is affordable, durable, and can reduce the energy bills drastically. PU foams can be found in cavity walls, roofs, floors, around pipes and boilers, and so on. It is light but strong, moisture-resistant, easy to install.
